The history of inclusion and exclusion at Hart House is explored with patterned filters / barriers that demarcate the boundary between inside and outside. A men’s only space until 1972, it was transformed into a children’s library in the second world war but now functions as the Debates Room and is used for Muslim Prayer every Friday.
